Privacy Policy (GDPR)

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines how personal data is collected and processed on ekomono.com in accordance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Data Controller responsible for processing your personal data is Roxane Uffren, operating under the commercial name Ekomono, based at Show address (enterprise number BE 1041.607.378), reachable at Send email. No Data Protection Officer is appointed, as the scale of processing does not require one.

2. Personal Data Collected

In accordance with data minimization principles, ekomono.com is designed to collect as little personal data as possible:

• The only personal data collected is what you voluntarily choose to provide when clicking "Send a message" (which opens your own email client) or when revealing the phone number to make a call.
• This typically includes your email address, name and the contents of your message. The Site has no contact form and no account system.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis of Processing

Data provided voluntarily via email or phone is strictly used to:

• Respond to your inquiries or business requests.
• Discuss prospective freelance projects or professional opportunities.
• Draft quotes and contracts directly under the Ekomono business registration (where applicable).

The legal basis for handling your enquiry is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering messages addressed to us (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). If analytics are introduced in the future (see Section 6), they will be processed solely on the basis of your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you will be able to withdraw at any time.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Your personal data will never be sold, rented, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. In the event of an active freelance collaboration, client details required for contract management and billing are processed directly by the Data Controller. At present, no analytics or tracking provider is used on the Site; see Section 6 for the analytics tool planned for the near future.

5. Data Retention

Your contact details and correspondence are stored for as long as necessary to handle your request or manage an active client relationship. In the absence of an ongoing business relationship, your data is permanently deleted within 3 years of our last communication.

6. Cookies & Analytics

At present, ekomono.com does not use any analytics or tracking tool. No cookies are set beyond those strictly necessary for hosting, security and stability (via Hostinger, see Section 2), which are permitted without consent under GDPR.

Microsoft Clarity will be introduced in the near future to help understand how visitors use the Site, through aggregated usage data such as clicks, scrolling, anonymised session recordings and heatmaps. When it goes live, a banner will ask for your consent before any analytics cookie is set, and you will be able to change your choice at any time via a “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. This Privacy Policy will be updated with the full details — including Clarity’s data transfer safeguards and retention period — at that time.

The Site also stores one small preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) when you choose a language with the EN/FR switch, so that the Site opens in your language on your next visit. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking.

7. Your Rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
